‘Y2K’ Trailer: Rachel Zegler Faces a Homicidal Tamagotchi and More Sentient Machines in A24 Apocalyptic Comedy
A24 has released the official trailer for the apocalyptic comedy 'Y2K,' starring Jaeden Martell, Rachel Zegler and Julian Dennison.
The trailer shows several homicidal machines in “Y2K,” including a Tamagotchi drilling a whole in a someone’s head, a VHS player hurling tapes at high school students, and a pink toy jeep lighting someone on fire. Additional cast members include The Kid Laroi, Fred Durst, Lachlan Watson, Daniel Zolghadri, Eduardo Franco, Mason Gooding, Lauren Balone, Tim Heidecker and Alicia Silverstone. ‘Praise You’ and ‘Tubthumping.’ Not to mention the last fading version of that mythic figure, the video-store clerk — in this case a blissed-out druggie with hippie dreads named Garrett, played by Mooney, whose cracked performance, all ‘Yo!’ and ‘wha-a-a-at?
