The original trilogy of films had such a strong focus on characters like Wolverine, Professor X, and Magneto that the team’s head was left on the cutting room floor. When asked if there was any chance for him to make his return as Cyclops in the MCU, Tye Sheridan admits that he doesn’t know of any takes for him to reprise his role as the leader of the X-Men. Given how heavily the X-Men’s presence in the multiverse saga has focused on the original era of films, it’s not likely that Tye Sheridan or the rest of his reboot cast will have the chance to make their return in the MCU.
