‘WWE 2K’ Franchise Coming to Netflix as Streamer Also Sets ‘Ginny & Georgia’ and ‘Sweet Magnolias’ Mobile Games
Netflix is further expanding its partnership with WWE with a new exclusive deal for the mobile versions of the popular "WWE 2K" games.
On the originals side, Netflix is continuing to grow its lineup of games based on its own IP with upcoming mobile titles adapted from TV series “Ginny & Georgia” and “ Sweet Magnolias.” These will launch under the streamer’s “Netflix Stories” collection, a catalog of interactive fiction games mainly based on romance and dating-focused series. All of these new titles join more than 100 Netflix games, both original and acquired, currently available on the streamer’s app. Per Sensor Tower, “Squid Game: Unleashed” bested “GTA: San Andreas” by approximately 50% in number of downloads during the games’ respective first 30 days post launch on Netflix.
