'Wrong flag, Lily!' Star slammed for mocking England fans following Euro loss

Lily Allen has come under fire for her reaction to England's Euro 2024 loss, with some fans branding her a 'hypocrite' after her dad wrote a famous football chant

The 39 year old singer found herself in hot water with some of her followers after she shared her thoughts on England's recent match against Spain in the Euros 2024, which took place on July 14. The match saw an equaliser from Cole Palmer bringing hope to England fans, but it was short-lived as Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad clinched the winning goal for Spain, ending the game at 2-1 and leaving English supporters gutted. She posted an AI-generated image that poked fun at English football fans, depicting a group of stereotypical middle-aged, overweight, balding men, faces flushed red with emotion, crying into their beers, all while wrapped in Union Jack flags.
