‘Women in Blue’ Renewed for Season 2 at Apple TV+
Apple TV+ has renewed the Spanish-language series "Women in Blue" ("Los Azules") for Season 2, Variety has learned.
Now promoted to lieutenant, María (Mori) finds herself torn between the rules she’s sworn to uphold and a relentless pull towards the truth when the murder of a young university student is followed by more casualties and reveals a deeper conspiracy. As the killings grow bolder and the lines between perpetrator, victim, and avenger begin to blur, María, Ángeles (Sariñana), Gabina (Rasgado) and Valentina (Téllez) are drawn into a maze of buried secrets and painful reckonings.” In her review for Variety, Aramide Tinubu wrote that the show is “a fantastic serial killer mystery that’s a thoughtful account of Mexico’s first female police force…[The] 10-episode drama is smart and reflective, even when it leans slightly into the realm of telenovelas.
