After years of anticipation, the first trailer for Wicked starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo aired during the Super Bowl on Sunday. The trailer shows when Glinda and Elphaba meet for the first time in school, a moment that sparks an unlikely and eventually complicated friendship between the two for the rest of their lives. Viewers also get a glimpse of Michelle Yeoh who plays Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, and Jeff Goldblum as “the great and powerful Wizard Oz.” The film also stars Bowen Yang and Grande’s boyfriend, Ethan Slater, as Boq, a munchkin who’s deeply infatuated with her character.
