‘Wicked’ Production Designer Nathan Crowley to Be Honored at Camerimage
The six-time Oscar nominee will be honored at the upcoming Camerimage festival in Poland.
Six-time Oscar nominated productiion designer Nathan Crowley —whose next production is Jon M. Chu’s film adaptation of the musical “ Wicked “–will accept a Special Award for a Production Designer at the 32nd EnergaCamerimage international cinematography film festival, which will take place from November 16-23 in Toruń, Poland. Crowley has earned Academy Award nominations for five of longtime collaborator Christopher Nolan’s movies, including “The Prestige,” “The Dark Knight,” “Interstellar,” “Dunkirk” and “Tenet,” in addition to Damien Chazelle’s “First Man.” In television, he was recognized with an Emmy nomination for the HBO scifi series “Westworld.” Beyond cinema, he designed four exhibitions for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, which accompanied the Met Gala, and collaborated with Sofia Coppola on La Traviata at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
