'Wicked: For Good': Everything to Know About Part 2 of the Movie Musical
The second part of the 'Wicked' movie musical adaptation, titled 'Wicked: For Good,' will hit theaters on November 21, 2025
Universal Pictures Part One ended with Elphaba being tricked by The Wizard and Madame Morrible into using the Grimmerie to create the flying monkeys in hopes of using them as spies against the animals of Oz. In the film’s closing moments, Elphaba shows off her power in the show-stopping musical number “Defying Gravity” before fleeing the Emerald City on her enchanted broom. Trailers for Part One have featured brief glimpses of footage from For Good, including Dorothy and her friends’ first meeting with The Wizard and Elphaba’s hands on the Yellow Brick Road.
