‘Whiplash’ to Screen With Live Jazz Band Led by Justin Hurwitz at Beverly Hills Concerts (EXCLUSIVE)

'Whiplash' will screen alongside an 18-piece jazz band led by Justin Hurwitz on two nights at Beverly Hills' Saban Theatre.

In celebration of the film’s 10th anniversary, “Whiplash: In Concert,” conducted by Oscar-winning composer Justin Hurwitz, will debut on Nov. 9 and 10 in Beverly Hills at the Saban Theatre. I can’t wait for fans here to get to experience the energy and intensity of Whiplash in a whole new way, watching the movie while the music and insane drum solos are performed live in front of them.” Written and directed by Damien Chazelle, the film follows Miles Teller as an ambitious young drummer who enrolls at a music conservatory and strives to impress the cut-throat instructor Terrence Fletchers (J. K. Simmons), who will stop at nothing to awaken his student’s true potential.
