When Calls the Heart star Mamie Laverock was on life support after a terrifying fall five stories off a hospital balcony. Updates on the teen's recovery.
“[Mamie] was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” her family wrote on a GoFundMe page set up to help pay for the teen’s medical bills. Mamie had previously suffered a “medical emergency” on May 11, when her mother, Nicole Rockmann, transported her to a Winnipeg hospital and was able to get there in enough time “to save her life,” according to the GoFundMe page. “This is an absolute miracle and there will be accountability,” Nicole told the Los Angeles Times on May 30, 2024, noting they plan to take legal action against St. Paul’s hospital, where the incident occurred.
