'When Calls the Heart' Actor Mamie Laverock on Life Support After Sustaining Injuries in Five-Story Fall from Balcony

'When Calls the Heart' stars Erin Krakow and Johannah Newmarch asked their followers to donate to Mamie Laverock's family's GoFundMe campaign to support her recovery

According to her parents Rob and Nicole, she was then transferred to a Vancouver hospital, where she would stay “upwards of a month or more.” At the time, they stated her recovery was “unclear” but “she is alive and is showing signs of improvement.” Now, in an update to the family’s GoFundMe campaign — which has raised over 11,000 CAD as of May 28, the Comptons revealed that their daughter “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.” In addition to When Calls the Heart, the actress had credits in the Hallmark original Wedding of Dreams, the 2017 horror The Hollow Child, Netflix ’s A Series of Unfortunate Events in 2019 and the 2020 Lifetime movie Spotlight on Christmas.
