‘Weekend Update’s Michael Che On Elon Musk’s Salute: “The Nazis Made Nice Cars”
'SNL's Weekend Update co-hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost had a lot of material to play with after Donald Trump's first week back in the Oval Office.
Jost kicked things off, lobbing a jab at Trump for not putting his hand on the swearing-in Bible, the same one that was used during Abraham Lincoln’s inauguration. Responding to the entertainment news headlines of the week, Che also commented on the Academy Award nominations announcement, made in part by colleague Bowen Yang (along with Rachel Sennott): “The Oscar nominations were announced with the musical Emilia Pérez leading the pack with 13 … total viewers.” Meanwhile, Jost cautioned viewers about repeating a certain type of behavior on his own game show Pop Culture Jeopardy!
