‘Vigil’ Renewed For Season 3 At BBC As Hit Thriller Heads To The Arctic Circle

'Vigil' Season 3 is coming to the BBC as the Suranne Jones show moves to the Arctic Circle.

The hit Suranne Jones-starring show, which comes from the makers of Line of Duty, has been greenlit for a third season and will move to a research station in the Arctic where a member of a covert British special forces mission has been shot dead. Jones’ character Amy Silva and partner DI Kirsten Longacre (Rose Leslie) will need to catch the killer and diffuse a potential international confrontation, driven by a land-grab for energy and resources in the changing polar climate, with both their careers and relationship on the line. In our third season we travel to the frozen north where the world’s great powers are competing to secure advantages as the ice melts.”
