‘Us, Our Pets and the War,’ Documentary About Animals in Ukraine, Acquired by Autlook (EXCLUSIVE)
Autlook Filmsales has secured international sales rights to 'Us, Our Pets and the War,' which looks at the impact of the war in Ukraine on animals.
The film, which became the highest-grossing theatrically released documentary in Ukraine of all time, is directed by investigative journalist and YouTube vlogger Anton Ptushkin. Autlook boss Salma Abdalla said: “The film’s powerful message of compassion is especially relevant in today’s world, and we believe it will connect with viewers on a deep emotional level.” Autlook’s slate includes Berlin documentary award-winner “No Other Land,” directed by Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor; Berlinale-awarded “Favoriten” by Ruth Beckermann; Sundance-awarded “Ibelin” by Benjamin Ree (sold to Netflix); “So This Is Christmas” by Ken Wardrop; and Tribeca premiering “Searching for Amani” by Nicole Gormley and Debra Aroko.
