‘TTPD’ Is No. 1 After Selling 5x More Copies Than the Album at No. 2
Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ remains at No. 1 after selling five times more copies than the Grateful Dead’s live recording
Though the Grateful Dead hasn’t been a band since the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995, the group has enjoyed a commercially successful career by releasing albums of live recordings from their heyday. Since launching her record-breaking tour in March 2023, Swift has used the penultimate section of her show to perform songs across her entire discography that aren’t included in the concert’s expansive setlist.
