Talpa Studios, founded by “The Voice” and “Big Brother” creator John de Mol, has launched “Trivial Pursuit,” a quiz show format based on the Hasbro trivia game, at TV market Mipcom in Cannes. It is a question-packed entertainment format hosted by Emmy Award-winning actor, director, producer and podcaster LeVar Burton (“Roots,” “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Reading Rainbow”). Gabriel Marano, head of Hasbro Entertainment Television, said, “We could not be prouder of the ‘Trivial Pursuit’ format, which is already delighting fans of all ages tuning in to watch on The CW.
