'Top Chef Masters' Alum Naomi Pomeroy's Body Found After Drowning
Naomi Pomeroy died on July 13 after becoming the first drowning victim of the year in Corvallis, Oregon.
According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office in Oregon, Pomeroy's deceased body was found on the morning of July 17, around 10 a.m. She has since been released to a funeral home and her family has been notified. Deputies and personnel with the Corvallis Fire Department searched the area using sonar, underwater cameras and drones, but were not able to locate Pomeroy due to heavy debris in the water. Pomeroy was a beloved chef in Portland who is credited with the city's culinary explosion, first when she opened her restaurant, Beast, in 2007.
