However, with trailers and leaks aplenty, the film has managed to maintain a steady level of hype even as developments begin to shake out for tentpole projects like Avengers: Doomsday. The obvious answer for how the Thunderbolts cast will play into Avengers: Doomsday is that they’ll team up with heroes from across the MCU to take down Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. While perhaps a lame explanation, it does line up with how the Russo Brothers treated teams like the Guardians of the Galaxy in their prior Avengers films.
