The original release date was announced at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022.The movie was supposed to begin filming in June 2023, but the crew was told that production would have to wait until the end of the strike, according to Deadline. The MCU Phase 5 movies coming out before Thunderbolts include Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
