‘Thunderbolts*’ Nears $300M Global As Does ‘Sinners’; ‘Minecraft’s Whole Lotta Lava Tops $900M WW & $500M Overseas – International Box Office

Thunderbolts* reached $272.2M global box office through its 2nd weekend while A Minecraft Movie passed $900M and Karate Kid: Legends kicked off in Latin America

Globally, Minecraft has exceeded such other WB titles as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The Chamber of Secrets, and The Prisoner of Azkaban, as well as Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Inception, the first Fantastic Beasts movie and The Crimes of Grindelwald, and Dune: Part Two. Getting out early in Latin America — ahead of much wider release later this month — Sony’s Karate Kid: Legends kicked off with $5.7M from 12 markets in the region. That’s higher than recent nostalgic action/adventure revisits like Sony’s Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire(+32%), as well as Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves(+24%) at current exchange rates.
