It’s nearly game over for The Who’s Tommy:The Tony-nominated musical revival will end its Broadway run next month, press agency Boneau/Bryan-Brown said today. Based on The Who’s seminal 1969 rock opera Tommy, the show stars Ali Louis Bourzgui as the titular boy who witnesses his dad shoot a romantic rival and is relegated to staring endlessly into a mirror. Relegated to staring endlessly into a mirror, he is transformed by his “crazy flipper fingers” into a pinball legend and becomes a guru to his “disciples.” The cast also includes Alison Luff, Adam Jacobs, John Ambrosino, Bobby Conte and Christina Sajous as The Acid Queen.
