The Traitors is arguably one of the biggest breakout entertainment formats since The Masked Singer and the TV Academy has noticed. Last year, The Traitors, a murder mystery format that takes place in the Scottish Highlands, won the award for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program but it was not nominated in the main category. Cumming told Deadline that after the success of the first season, the team was willing to be bolder with the format and embrace the “nuttiness” of his outfits.
