‘The Three-Body Problem’ and ‘Silent Spring’ Rocket to No. 1 on Amazon After Netflix Debut
Following the debut of "3 Body Problem," the sci-fi series off of which the show is based is now a bestseller on Amazon.
Weiss with Alexander Woo, the world’s top physicists are not only befuddled but driven mad by the inexplicable scientific phenomena caused by this invasion, kicking off an investigation that leads to one woman’s decision made in the wake of the Chinese Cultural Revolution in the 1960s. The show was met with mixed reviews upon a screening at Lille’s Series Mania last Friday, although most agreed on its ambition and likelihood to earn cult status. The book’s most haunting and famous chapter, “A Fable for Tomorrow,” depicts a nameless American town where all life—from fish to birds to apple blossoms to human children—had been “silenced” by the insidious effects of DDT.
