The series is based on The Devil In Silver novel, written by author Victor LaValle, who is writing the new iteration alongside Chris Cantwell, who was showrunner of AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire. Back in 2020, then AMC boss Sarah Barnett told Deadline that it was interested in a third run and was eyeing topics for development. As Pepper navigates a hellscape where nothing is as it seems, he finds that the only path to freedom is to face down the entity which thrives on the suffering within New Hyde’s walls – but doing so may prove that the worst demons of all live inside him.
