‘The Social Network’ hit theaters a decade and a half ago. Here’s what we know about a potential sequel.

Adapted from Ben Mezrich ‘s 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal, The Social Network centers around Zuckerberg in 2003, who was then a sophomore at Harvard. Jesse Eisenberg starred as Zuckerberg, with Andrew Garfield as his business partner Eduardo Saverin, Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker, and Rooney Mara as Erica Albright. Eisenberg was nominated for best actor at both the 2011 Golden Globes and Academy Awards, though he failed to secure a victory, losing both to Colin Firth for a superb peformance in The King’s Speech.
