'The Seed Of The Sacred Fig' is among the German International Oscar entries for this year's awards.
The Seed of the Sacred Fig follows Iman, a judge in the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, who grapples with mistrust and paranoia as nationwide political protests intensify. Past credits include Nailing It for Spotify, Arlo Park’s Dream Fuel and Gilles Peterson for 6Music, and The Sleeping Forecast for BBC Sounds. Memento Non Mori by Seyhmus Alten, In a Grove by Nino Akhvlediani, China Sea by Jurgis Matulevicius and Blue Marks by Sarah Miro Fischer are the four European feature films at the post-production stage that will compete for San Sebastian’s WIP Europa Industry Award.
