‘The Sandman’ Season 2 Casts ‘Season of Mists’ and ‘Brief Lives’ Storylines; Ruairi O’Connor to Play Dream’s Son Orpheus
"The Sandman" is adding several new cast members to its already growing lineup for Season 2.
Netflix announced on its Tudum website Tuesday that O’Connor will play Orpheus : “the poet, musician, and oracle, is the only child of Dream and the muse, Calliope (last seen in “The Sandman,” Episode 111). Additionally, Indya Moore will play Wanda and Steve Coogan will join as the voice of Barnabas the dog, two roles introduced in the “Brief Lives” storyline from the comics. In May, Netflix revealed the first new castings for “The Sandman” Season 2: Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium, Adrian Lester as Destiny and Barry Sloane as “The Prodigal.” That trio of characters are the remaining members of “The Endless” family Dream is part of, and will join the returning siblings from Season 1, Death (Kirby), Desire (Mason Alexander Park), Despair (Donna Preston) and Dream, The Sandman himself.
