‘The Outsiders’ Hits No. 1 on Billboard’s Cast Albums Chart
"The Outsiders" hit No. 1 on Billboard's Cast Albums chart a month after its Tony Award win for best musical.
The set jumps 10-1 on the July 27-dated list, following the album’s CD release. Billboard ’s Cast Albums chart ranks the top-selling cast recordings of the week in the U.S., based on traditional album sales, according to data tracking firm Luminate. The Outsiders, with music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival (Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance) and Justin Levine, opened at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in New York on April 11 and has scheduled performances through January 2025.
