‘The Office’ Alum Jenna Fischer Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis
Jenna Fischer revealed her breast cancer diagnosis as The Office alum highlights October as breast cancer awareness month.
Fischer gave more details about her diagnosis, saying she went for a routine mammogram in October 2023, with the results of that test coming back inconclusive. The Office Ladies podcast host revealed that in January of this year, she “had a lumpectomy to remove the tumor,” and the “cancer was caught early and it hadn’t spread into my lymph nodes or throughout the rest of my body.” Fischer said that because it was an aggressive form of cancer, they were still required to undergo chemotherapy and radiation to make sure it didn’t return.
