Selick made his directorial debut with 1993’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, a stop-motion fantasy musical based on a story and characters by Tim Burton. Other voice cast members included Catherine O’Hara as Sally the rag doll, William Hickey, Glenn Shadix, Ken Page, Joe Ranft, and Paul Reubens.
