‘The Lodge’ Filmmakers Veronika Franz And Severin Fiala To Direct Horror Pic ‘A Head Full of Ghosts’ For Fifth Season, Robert Downey Jr. Producing

Filmmaking duo Veronika Franz And Severin Fiala, best known Goodnight Mommy, which was Austria’s 2014 entry for Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, and the Riley Keough-led The Lodge, have signed on to direct the horror feature A Head Full of Ghosts. The film’s logline reads: The Barretts’ normal suburban New England life is torn apart when their teenage daughter shows signs of acute schizophrenia, reluctantly leading them to be the subjects of a reality show “The Possession.” Fifteen years later, Merry faces her family’s haunting past when a journalist is assigned help tell her side of the story and uncovers the very nature of evil. Tremblay’s other books include The Cabin at the End of the World — which was adapted by M. Night Shyamalan last year into a feature film grossing over $54 million globally — as well as The Pallbearers Club, Survivor Song, Disappearance at Devil’s Rock, The Little Sleep, No Sleep Till Wonderland, and the short story collections Growing Things and Other Stories and The Beast You Are.
