‘The Last of Us’ cast stepped out at the Emmy Awards on Monday, January 15, one year after the show’ premiere
The Television Academy announced in August 2023 that the 75th annual ceremony was pushed to January 2024 amid actors, writers and other entertainment workers going on strike. The HBO series, based on the video game of the same name, followed Joel as he traveled cross country with Ellie on a hunt to find his brother Tommy ( Gabriel Luna). “I didn’t know what the game was, but HBO had sent the scripts over, and I was put through a process of auditioning,” Pascal recalled to Deadline in June 2023 about nabbing the lead role.
