Berlin-based sales agent Pluto Film has boarded the feature debut “The Jacket” by Mathijs Poppe ahead of its international premiere in IDFA ’s Luminous selection. When Jamal embarks on a journey to search for an important lost theater prop, he witnesses how the successive political and economic crises have disrupted an entire region and its people. He adds that while he was making his graduation film at KASK school of arts in Ghent, “Ours Is a Country of Words (2017), he “truly connected with Jamal during this process and his unwavering dedication towards storytelling and acting became evident to me.”
