Based on the bestselling novel, The Idea of You centers on Solène (Hathaway), a 40-year-old mother, who sparks a romance with Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the 24-year-old lead singer of the “ hottest boy band on the planet ” August Moon. The pair first meet at Coachella and find their way back to each other after the festival, but Hayes’ “superstar status poses unavoidable challenges to their relationship,” according to the film description.
