‘The Floor’ Season 3 Premiere Replaces ‘Rescue: HI-Surf’ After Super Bowl On Fox

Per Fox, it “brings gridiron energy to Hawaii’s North Shore,” and I hear it is supersized, longer than the regular length for a broadcast drama. The Floor ‘s viewership has been similar to Rescue Hi-Surf ‘s with stronger pull in younger demos and family audiences, which I hear played a role in the decision as did host/executive producer Rob Lowe’s close ties with Fox. Ultimately, Fox brass decided the Super Bowl would be a better platform to launch the new season of The Floor, trying to bring in more family viewing to the show, while not keeping Rescue HI-Surf ‘s regular schedule.
