Is The Fantastic Four really taking place on a different earth? Kevin Feige teases a unique direction for Marvel’s highly anticipated reboot.

While details about the upcoming reboot has been purposefully sparse, Kevin Feige recently revealed the project was a period piece, while also tossing in a subtle tease for fans paying attention to the rumors. “I’m extremely excited by it because I think [The Fantastic Four] are mainstays, are legendary pillars of the Marvel Universe that we’ve never gotten to play with or explore in a significant way outside of Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness and a few fun teases before, in the way that we’re doing it in that film,” Feige explained. While fans have certainly enjoyed Marvel’s nods to the iconic heroes throughout the MCU, a full reboot dedicated to The Fantastic Four is certain to provide more meat on the bone than a handful of cameos.
