‘The Faculty’ Remake Set at Miramax, Robert Rodriguez to Produce
The reboot of the 1998 sci-fi thriller will be penned by Drew Hancock.
Robert Rodriguez, who directed the original horror film written by Kevin Williamson ( Scream) that starred Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood and Shawn Hatosy, will produce the remake. Hancock also wrote and directed Companion, a sci-fi thriller set for a release this weekend by Warner Bros. Pictures. The suspense pic stars Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid and portrays a weekend getaway that goes violently wrong.
