‘The Devil’s Bath,’ Horror Film Selected as Austria’s Oscar Entry, Sets Theatrical Re-Release From Shudder (EXCLUSIVE)
Shudder is giving a limited North American theatrical run to Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala's latest horror film, 'The Devil's Bath.'
Per the official logline: “In 1750 Austria, a deeply religious woman named Agnes has just married her beloved, but her mind and heart soon grow heavy as her life becomes a long list of chores and expectations. Fifteen screenings are planned across the U.S., with showtimes in California, New York, Colorado, Illinois, North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas and Virginia. In a sitdown with Variety, Fiala explained that the story for “The Devil’s Bath” arose after he and Franz discovered an episode of “This American Life” with historian Kathy Stuart, which touched on famous examples of loopholes in otherwise ironclad sets of rules.
