‘The Day Of The Jackal’: Eddie Redmayne Series Breaks Ratings Records For Sky In UK
'The Day Of The Jackal's first episode was watched by 3M viewers on Sky in the UK, putting it ahead of 'House of the Dragon' and 'Chernobyl.'
Co-starring Lashana Lynch, and Úrsula Corberó, the series has also topped the premiere episodes of HBO originals The Last of Us(2.6M) and The House of the Dragon Season 2 (1.75M). The rating is a big win for Sky Studios CEO Cécile Frot-Coutaz, who has refocused the Comcast-owned unit on fewer and more impactful series since joining in 2021. Sky made five episodes of The Day of the Jackal available to UK audiences, with the sixth installment premiering on Thursday.
