‘The Daily Show’s Ronny Chieng Drags Donald Trump For Pulling Mindy Kaling Into Drama About Kamala Harris’s Racial Identity
Ronny Chieng took to The Daily Show to call out Donald Trump for the "weird turn" his campaign has taken to talking about Kamala Harris's racial identity.
During an appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention this week, Trump drew backlash for questioning Harris’s racial identity. Trump went further and took to Truth Social to share a video from 2020 that featured The Office alum Mindy Kaling cooking Masala dosa with Harris. The Daily Show host commented that the video “doesn’t even prove his point,” adding, “He’s saying Kamala identifies as Indian and not Black.
