‘The Crown’ Breakout Ed McVey Signs With UTA (EXCLUSIVE)

Ed McVey, who played Prince William in 'The Crown,' has signed with UTA.

The final episodes of the Peter Morgan-created drama also followed the blossoming relationship between William and Kate Middleton (played by fellow newcomer Meg Bellamy) as their friendship developed into a romance after meeting as students at St. Andrews University in Scotland. On the red carpet at the premiere of “The Crown” Season 6 last December, McVey told Variety he focused on Morgan’s script rather than the real Prince William while working on the show. McVey was also on the guestlist at BAFTA’s Rising Star party in London last week, an event celebrating the biggest emerging names in film and television.
