‘The Comeback’ Returns! Lisa Kudrow Set for Season 3 of HBO Comedy Series
'The Comeback,' the beloved cult show from Michael Patrick King and Lisa Kudrow (as Valerie Cherish), will return to HBO for a third (and MAYBE final) season.
No other cast is listed, but the show’s 2014 iteration was loaded with guest stars, including Seth Rogen (as himself, playing Valerie’s former tormentor, Paulie G.) and Malin Åkerman, appearing as her character from Season 1. In the announcement, HBO shared a statement from Kudrow and King: “Valerie Cherish has found her way back to the current television landscape. When viewers last saw Valerie — at the conclusion of its eight-episode second season in December 2014 — she left the Emmys (though she was destined to win) to be by Mickey’s side at the hospital, after he’d collapsed.
