‘The Color Purple’s’ Fatima Robinson and Parris Goebel Lead World Choreography Award Winners
Choreographers for "Blindspotting" and "The Color Purple" were among the winners at the World Choreography Awards.
Robinson fused hip-hop, dance, African history, tap, jazz and even Jamaican moves as she crafted the musical numbers in “ The Color Purple.” One highlight was “Push da Button” performed by Taraji P. Henson’s Shug Avery.
