‘The Brutalist’ in Imax and 70mm: A24 Sets First Showtimes in New York and Los Angeles

A24's 'The Brutalist' will launch its first screenings in Imax and 70mm in December in New York and Los Angeles.

“The Brutalist,” a three-plus-hour epic directed by Brady Corbet and starring Adrien Brody, was filmed in VistaVision, a high-resolution format with a wider field of view, allowing for enhanced clarity when projected in 70mm. Attendees of the 70mm engagements will receive a collectible brochure and postcard set showcasing the work of László Toth, the fictional architect played by Brody, who is at the center of the film. The film, which carries an impressively small $10 million price tag, follows a visionary architect and Holocaust survivor who attempts to rebuild his life in post-war America.
