The Boys composers Christopher Lennertz and Matt Bowen say they've never been scolded for going too far with the music in the wild superhero series.

After performing spirited pieces from the Prime Video superhero drama at Deadline’s Sound & Screen: Television event, composers Christopher Lennertz and Matt Bowen were asked if they’ve ever been scolded for going too far with their music. With Bowen as his first member, the duo recalled how they would scour junk stores and guitar joints for unique instruments — basically buying “everything to try to make music.” Nowadays, Bowen admits, it’s become an “embarrassment of riches” when it comes to finding people to help create new sounds for the hit show that stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid and Antony Starr.
