‘The Bikeriders’ Costume Designer Aged and Beat Up Leather to Create the Biker Looks
"The Bikeriders" costume designer Erin Benacht alks finding soft knits and tops for Jodie Comer to contrast the leathers of the biker gang.
Austin Butler, Tom Hardy and Michael Shannon are among the leather-clad bike riders leading the cast. With a limited budget and short prep time, Benach had to choose wisely which jackets she was going to build and which ones she was going to source. Peg pants and a sleeveless sweater top add softness and texture to the character and contrast against the leather and denim of the gang members.
