‘The Bear’ Breaks Emmy Record for Comedy Series With 23 Nominations
FX's "The Bear" breaks Emmy nomination record previously held by "30 Rock."
The all-time series record of 32 nominations, held by HBO’s “Game of Thrones” since 2016, remains firmly in place. In the comedy series category, “The Bear” will compete against “Abbott Elementary,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Hacks,” “Only Murders in the Building,” “Palm Royale,” “Reservation Dogs” and “What We Do in Shadows.” Created by Christopher Storer, the dramedy follows Carmy (White), an award-winning chef who returns to his hometown of Chicago to manage his brother’s sandwich shop following his suicide.
