‘The Acolyte’ Arrives On Disney+ Tonight

Set during the High Republic era of the “Star Wars” universe, the new series is the farthest back in the timeline the franchise has gone in a live-action production. An official logline for the first season reveals, “An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). Disney+ is also home to the hit series “The Mandalorian.” That show has aired three seasons to date, with a movie set to begin production later this year.
