‘The ‘Burbs’ Series Starring Keke Palmer Casts Jack Whitehall, Paula Pell, Julia Duffy, Mark Proksch, Kapil Talwalkar
"The 'Burbs" TV series adaptation at Peacock has cast five series regulars, Variety has learned.
Jack Whitehall(“Jungle Cruise,” “The Afterparty 2”), Julia Duffy (“Palm Royale,” “Newhart”), Paula Pell(“Girls5eva,” “Saturday Night Live”), Mark Proksch (“What We Do In The Shadows,” “The Office”), and Kapil Talwalkar (“Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist,” “Night Court”) have all been cast in the series version of the 1989 dark comedy of the same name. The official logline for the show states, “Set in present-day suburbia, ‘The ‘Burbs’ follows a young couple (Palmer, Whitehall) who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.”
