‘Superman’ Rumor Reveals The Truth About ‘Episodic Structure’ Retooling
Did Superman go through major changes in the editing bay? The latest rumor sheds some light on the film’s long rumored episodic narrative structure.
A number of scoopers reported that the project would be split into multiple “days”, reflecting the Seven Labors of Superman and giving the Man of Steel new trials to face, instead of the traditional “one big bad” narrative. This idea was bolstered by poster ViewerAnon who revealed that, while the cards reading which day it was have been scrapped from the final product, the actual narrative has not been touched. However, given how successful Superman will be no matter what, it’s a shame that the editors of the film weren’t allowed to give the general audiences a little spice beyond what’s expected of them.
